Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The district’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefit is offered through HealthPartners EAP. Employees and their immediate family members can call the EAP at 1-866-326-7194, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for professional, confidential assistance with concerns such as family issues, financial problems, psychological and relationship issues, grief and loss, work-related stress and much more. Information is also available on-line at www.hpeap.com (Member ID: healthpartners, Password: isd196). The EAP is a resource for all employees; it is not necessary to be enrolled in the district’s health insurance plan in order to utilize the EAP benefit.
Fitness Club Discount & Frequent Fitness Challenge
HealthPartners offers a program called Frequent Fitness to participants in our health insurance plan. Get a $20 monthly membership credit after you exercise twelve or more times each month at a participating facility. Not a Frequent Fitness member? Check out healthpartners.com/frequentfitness to see how you can join and use the club locator to find a participating gym near you.
The Frequent Fitness Challenge is a new rewards program for Frequent Fitness participants. HealthPartners will award you a free workout t-shirt when you achieve your monthly workout reimbursement eight out of 12 months. Visit healthpartners.com/challenge for more details and for a chance to be featured on their Web site. Just enter your fitness success story and explain how exercise has had a positive effect on your life. HealthPartners may pick your story to feature on the site!
JourneyWell Programs (for HealthPartners participants)
Enroll in a JourneyWell wellness program! Available online or by phone, these free wellness programs provide you with useful tools to help you make healthy changes. Employees who complete at least one wellness program by May 21, 2010 will receive a $10 Target gift card in June!
Online programs JourneyWell online programs are convenient and engaging. Programs include:
10,000 Steps® program Get stepping with this 8-week program that includes a pedometer, motivational e-mails, articles and a step conversion calculator to add activities like biking or swimming to your daily step total. Choose from two versions: Lose Weight or Feel Great.
JourneyWell Stress eProgram If you are dealing with stress, we can help. This eight-week online course helps you identify your personal stressors and learn coping skills. It includes interactive tutorials with tips to manage time, a private journal, relaxation techniques, recipes and motivational e-mails.
JourneyWell Weight eProgram Take control of your weight! This 8-week online program provides you with the tools you need to stop dieting and start changing your lifestyle. Get information on weight loss and related topics, motivational e-mails, a calorie calculator, recipes and trackers to record what you eat, your activity and your weight.
Phone coaching to get you motivated With phone coaching, you’ll work with your own personal registered dietitian, health educator, exercise specialist or pharmacist to achieve your healthy lifestyle goals. Schedule your phone calls when it’s convenient for you. You’ll receive program materials and tools to prepare you for each call, keep you motivated and track your progress.
To get started with JourneyWell, log on to www.healthpartners.com/journeywell, enter company name District 196 and your HealthPartners website username and password. If this is your first time logging on, click “Register for an account” (you’ll need to have your HealthPartners ID card handy to complete the registration). If you forgot your username or password, click “Forgot username” or “Forgot Password.”
